Kopperfield builds modern software for electrical contractors — load calculations, panel schedules, and permit documentation. We're profitable at $1M+ ARR, serve thousands of contractors across the US, and operate as a small, high-output team. Venture backed by General Catalyst, LGF, Giant Ventures, Designer Fund, and prominent angels.
The role
We're looking for someone who lives at the intersection of code and go-to-market. You might come from an engineering background and want to apply your skills to growth, marketing, and partnerships, or you might be a marketer who's always been the most technical person on your team.
You'll own growth end-to-end: paid acquisition, SEO, lifecycle, content, and partnerships. You'll ship landing pages, build automations, run experiments, stay close to customers, and push how we use AI across the business. We're a small team — you'll figure things out, move quickly, and have real room to define the playbook.
What you'll do
- Run performance marketing across Google, Meta, Reddit, and emerging channels
- Drive SEO, AIO, and GEO
- Build growth loops and lifecycle sequences in Klaviyo
- Develop partnerships that drive qualified leads
- Create content — social, blog, video — that's technically accurate and useful
- Support product launches and GTM with clear, credible content
- Talk to customers, find friction, turn it into improvements
What we're looking for
- You've shipped and grown real things. Clear examples required.
- 3+ years in software engineering, growth, marketing, or building a startup
- You can code, or vibe-code with the best of them
- Expert and enthusiast at using AI and building automation
- Comfortable across ads, product, analytics, and customer conversations
- Curious about electrification, the trades, and software in the physical world
- Energized, not paralyzed, by ambiguity
- A maker's mentality

Who you'll work with
You'll work directly with Mark, our CEO and cofounder. Mark was Head of Platform and applied ML at Stripe, and before that at Facebook and Microsoft. He'll be your closest collaborator in building up the business.
Compensation & logistics
- Meaningful equity + cash comp structured to meet or exceed market. Open to candidates at several experience levels.
- $5,000 CAD/year toward dental and extended health, or equivalent in cash
- Hybrid: two in-person days/week in North Vancouver, or several in person days each quarter
- Full-time, starting with a 30-day contract period
