Job description
Join Vancity as the Director of Payments Technology, where you will spearhead the modernization of our payments ecosystem across diverse member segments. This full-time role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technology oversight to enhance secure payment experiences.

As a senior technology leader, you will drive the execution of the enterprise payments and fraud technology roadmap. You'll lead efforts in upgrading payment rails for retail, SMB, and commercial members while ensuring compliance with Payments Canada standards. Your expertise in fraud technology will help build robust systems designed to protect member trust and enhance real-time payment capabilities.

Key Responsibilities: • Define and execute a payments technology roadmap • Engage with Payments Canada on modernization strategies • Modernize payment rails for diverse members • Oversee evolution of the fraud engine • Ensure seamless integration across payment flows

Requirements: • 10+ years in financial services technology • Experience with national payment rails and fraud systems • Proven ability to design enterprise fraud engines • Knowledge of Payments Canada modernization programs • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into technology roadmaps
