Job Description As a member of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency Senior Leadership team, the Director, Epidemiology, Analytics and Surveillance is accountable for providing collaborative leadership and expertise in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures, programs and initiatives that support and advance the Agency’s mission, values, policies and strategic direction.
The Director partners and collaborates with Executive Leadership, Directors, Managers and external partners, and leads the development, implementation and maintenance of the SCA’s Cancer Analytics and Surveillance Programs. These programs provide quantitative and qualitative information across the cancer control continuum, including cancer surveillance and projections, advanced analytics and models to analyze and improve cancer services and client experience. Leveraging Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and other advanced analytics, the Director informs business decisions, enterprise strategies, evaluates the provincial cancer system, and supports epidemiological research. The position also provides scientific directorship of Healthy Future Sask and the Saskatchewan Cancer Registry.
Qualifications
Five to ten years progressive experience in a leadership role.
Experience in program development and program management.
A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Extensive knowledge of cancer control, health service delivery, epidemiology, data management, and indicator development.
Advanced computer skills and working knowledge of database systems.
