Job descriptionAdecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Intermodal Heavy Duty Mechanics to join a dynamic operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on a variety of vehicles, cranes, and material handling equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Responsibilities:
· Inspect, service, and maintain intermodal cranes, terminal tractors, vehicles, and related equipment in compliance with company and federal standards
· Perform maintenance tasks such as oil changes, repairs, part replacements, cleaning, and adjustments
· Diagnose and repair diesel/gas engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and driveline components
· Operate welding equipment (electric and oxy-acetylene), lubrication tools, and repair machinery safely and effectively
· Use measuring instruments and interpret visual displays for diagnostics and repairs
· Repair various types of yard and material handling equipment
· Complete and maintain inspection, maintenance, and service reports in accordance with established procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent
· Diploma of Vocational Studies in Heavy Duty Mechanic (or related trade)
· Experience in diesel mechanics, automotive, truck & coach, and hydraulics systems
· Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems
· Valid Driver's License
· Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
· Must possess personal tools required for general repairs (specialized railway tools provided)
· Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
Working Conditions
· Work irregular shifts, including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
· Perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs (22 kg), bending, kneeling, squatting, and overhead work
· Work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
· Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet
· Maintain strict adherence to safety policies and procedures
