Job description
Elevate cloud performance with Amazon's Data Plane team as a Software Development Engineer, focusing on C/C++ for MemoryDB. Innovate in-memory databases with unparalleled speed for top-tier clients.

Join the Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC and contribute to a team instrumental in developing high-performance database solutions. This Software Development Engineer role offers a chance to work with an advanced engine that handles millions of operations per second. You will solve complex challenges in memory management, replication protocols, and distributed data systems while delivering on customer-driven demands.

Key Responsibilities: • Design the next-gen in-memory database engine • Develop large-scale distributed storage systems in C/C++ • Optimize the durability layer and transaction logging • Implement advanced data query methods like vector search • Mentor other engineers and lead by example

Requirements: • 3+ years in professional software development • 2+ years in design or architecture experience • Proficient in at least one programming language • Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred • Experience in the full software development lifecycle
