Your Challenge!
Reporting to the Sales Director, the Sales Representative’s mission is to increase the company’s revenue. You must be growth-oriented and capable of identifying new business opportunities.
By staying alert to evolving customer needs and market opportunities, you actively deploy your sales initiatives and develop, implement, and manage action plans for the accounts assigned to you. You play a key role in developing both existing and future accounts through a proactive and strategic approach.
You are responsible for executing the business plan and ensuring the achievement of growth and account penetration objectives.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you share key market insights, contribute to the adaptation of strategies, and ensure customer profiles and needs are kept up to date.
Finally, you establish and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships to deliver a high level of customer service and maximize long-term profitability.
Your Responsibilities
You will be accountable for:
- Identifying, prospecting, and converting new business opportunities
- Supporting the creation and negotiation of contracts for assigned accounts
- Developing and tracking account plan objectives in accordance with established guidelines
- Establishing, maintaining, and strengthening strategic business relationships with key account stakeholders
- Maintaining and growing revenue through retention, value-added offerings, and business development opportunities
You will do this by:
- Preparing and validating quotes and pricing for target markets
- Educating clients on products and solutions
- Managing the creation and negotiation of contracts for accounts
- Providing the team with detailed and accurate sales forecasts
- Developing and managing account plans in line with strategic guidelines
- Using and updating the CRM system
Relevant Experience & Strengths
- A self-starter with a collaborative, creative, and strategic growth mindset with a focus on new opportunities
- A customer-centric hunter mindset.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence within complex organizations
- Demonstrated success in both sales, lead generation, and account management
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present solutions clearly and persuasively
- Strong knowledge of the market and customers, enabling you to act as an internal subject-matter expert
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or related field
- Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
- 3-5+ years of experience in sales or account management (Packaging industry experience preferred)
- Experience with data visualization and forcasting tools such as Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint. Experience with SAP a strong asset.
- CRM experience
- Willingness to travel within the greater Toronto area
