You will be responsible for evaluating, designing, and implementing internal controls to ensure organizational compliance, risk mitigation and operational efficiency. The role requires an advanced understanding of inherently high‑risk processes for all segments, utilizing strong problem‑solving skills to investigate, analyze and provide informed recommendations on compliance issues, quality operational controls, risk assessment and control activities.

Partner with Governance, Risk & Controls groups to understand implications and create and lead action plans to resolve identified risks affecting CE&T.

Manage end‑to‑end audit lifecycles and ensure identified risks within CE&T are remediated per documented action plans, addressing issues raised by regulatory agencies (e.g. OSFI) and other CIBC governance areas such as Internal Audit, 3rd Party Risk Management, Privacy and GORM concerning compliance‑related matters and escalated issues.
Control Monitoring and Internal Control Assessment – On a quarterly basis, you will be assigned technology controls tied to various infrastructure components, document test results with appropriate evidence, forward results for review and communicate deficiencies to the Director of Governance and Control. Analyze business processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with policies and regulations.
