Adecco is currently hiring a Finishing Shop Lead Hand for a full-time opportunity in Alberta. This role is ideal for an experienced finishing or production professional who enjoys supporting day-to-day operations, mentoring team members, and helping lead a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on high-quality custom wood products.
In this position, you will support the daily operations of the finishing department, working closely with the Finishing Manager and production teams to maintain workflow, quality standards, and team coordination. You will play a key role in supporting sanding and finishing operations while helping guide both experienced and newer team members in a growing manufacturing environment.
- Salary: $30.00-$35.00/hour+ based on experience
- Location: Calgary, AB
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (overtime and occasional Saturdays required)

Responsibilities- Support the day-to-day operations of the finishing department and production teams
- Provide hands-on leadership and operational support within the sanding and finishing shop environments
- Assist the Finishing Manager with workflow coordination and production priorities
- Help oversee finishing processes to ensure quality standards and production timelines are maintained
- Support and mentor both experienced and newer team members within the department
- Assist in maintaining safe, organized, and productive work environments
- Help coordinate daily production activities and support overall department efficiency
- Work collaboratively with leadership and production teams to address operational challenges
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and departmental growth plans
- Contribute to maintaining strong communication and teamwork across the finishing department
Qualifications- Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
- Previous experience in finishing, sanding, millwork, woodworking, cabinetry, or manufacturing environments
- Leadership, lead hand, or supervisory experience in production settings is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of finishing shop operations and production workflows
- Ability to support teams in fast-paced manufacturing environments
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example on the production floor
- Ability to manage changing priorities and support operational demands
- Flexible and reliable with availability for overtime and occasional Saturday shifts
