We are looking for an experienced Manager to join our growing External Financial Advisory (EFA) practice. In this role, you will oversee advisory services provided to small and mid‑sized companies and guide strategic initiatives to assist clients in navigating today’s rapidly evolving business and financial reporting landscape. As part of the team, you’ll play a critical role from leading a team of professionals in providing strategic insights to acting as a trusted advisor to clients’ executive teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of key deliverables: oversee the preparation of financial reporting packages, financial models, cash flow forecasts and budgets, and business process improvement recommendations.
- Strategic client advisory: serve as the primary point of contact for key client relationships, providing actionable financial insights and high‑level strategic recommendations that drive business performance. Collaborate with the clients’ executive teams to align financial strategies with business goals.
- Financial modelling and forecasting: build dynamic financial models for a range of purposes, including cash flow forecasting, budgeting, raising capital, and valuations, enabling clients to make informed financial decisions.
- Business development: take an active role in identifying new business opportunities and expanding our client base by attending local networking events and developing your presence in the professional community. Support proposal development and client pitches to secure new engagements.
- Operational excellence: continuously improve internal processes within the EFA team, ensuring optimal resource allocation, workflow efficiency, and client satisfaction. Collaborate with senior leadership to refine and grow our service offerings.
- Mentorship and leadership: lead and mentor a team of financial analysts and senior financial analysts, assisting in their professional growth through coaching, performance evaluations, and development plans.
Skills and Experience
- CPA designation
- Completion of a degree in finance, accounting, economics or business administration
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including management experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) role
- Experience with financial reporting, including financial statement review, variance analysis, and management reporting
- Familiarity with financial statement modeling, including proficiency in using advanced Excel functions, is considered an asset
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks, Xero), ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) or data analysis tools (Power BI) is considered an asset
- Travel may be required for client visits and business development activities

The annual salary range for this position is: CA$90,000 - $120,000. Compensation is determined based on individual skills and relevant experience.
