Job description
Step into a pivotal role as Extendicare's Chief Information Security Officer, based in Markham, Ontario. Oversee IT security programs while promoting compliance and innovation in healthcare. As the CISO at Extendicare, this role will provide strategic guidance in protecting healthcare and corporate information across Canada. This full-time position emphasizes collaboration with IT, clinical, and operational leaders to drive compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities include incident response, third-party risk management, and developing a robust cybersecurity culture. Key Responsibilities: • Provide operational leadership for IT Security and risk management • Define information security policies and governance frameworks • Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and monitor controls • Oversee detection, response, and recovery from incidents • Foster a security-aware culture through education and leadership engagement Requirements: • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity management • Proven success in a regulated healthcare environment • Familiarity with privacy laws and regulatory requirements • Technical background in cloud models and compliance solutions • Certifications like CISSP or equivalent preferred Drive Extendicare's cybersecurity strategy and protect critical patient data within the healthcare industry. #J-18808-Ljbffr
