What You’ll Do
Lead the estimating and bidding process for general contracting scopes from start to finish
Manage proposal schedules, content, budgets, contractor selection, and submissions
Analyze drawings, specifications, schedules, and risk profiles
Perform quantity take-offs and develop accurate, competitive estimates
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients
Solicit pricing, manage addenda, and oversee tender closings
Apply historical data and industry insight to continuously improve estimates
Prepare thorough estimate handovers to the project management team
Participate in post-bid and post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and improvements
Ensure compliance with jurisdictional codes and standards
What You Bring
3+ years of estimating experience in civil construction
Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Estimating, Engineering, or similar (an asset)
Strong understanding of construction documents, costs, budgets, and schedules
Solid grasp of the proposal and bidding process
Ability to identify project risks and proactively address them
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Curious, detail-oriented, and confident asking the right questions
Collaborative mindset with an innovative approach to problem-solving
