Job description

We are seeking a skilled Cook 1 to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to our recipes and standards. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality dishes that are both visually appealing and delicious. Be prepared for an exciting journey where your impact matters. Must be able to work early morning shifts covering breakfast, lunch service, and Banquets if needed. Shift starts at 5am during weekdays and 6am on weekends.

Schedule

  • Weekdays: Shift starts at 5:00 AM
  • Weekends: Shift starts at 6:00 AM

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute breakfast and lunch menu items efficiently
  • Maintain quality, consistency, and presentation standards
  • Assist with banquet preparation and service when required
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards are maintained
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Previous breakfast cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to work early morning shifts
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Able to multitask and work under pressure

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sauces, soups, and hot entrees for service and special functions, insuring that all stations are set for forecasted covers.
  • Maintain food quality and adherence to company standards.
  • Assures that all kitchen personnel and servers are aware of specials, plate presentations, and prices.
  • Suggest daily specials that incorporate seasonal or special order ingredients.
  • Coordinate service with restaurant and banquet operations.
  • Other related tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience 2+ years preferred.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, safety standards, and kitchen equipment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
