The primary objective of the operator-training department is to introduce leading edge equipment with latest technologies to Toromont’s customers. The Operator/Demo Trainer is responsible to demonstrate and describe product features related to safety/productivity and daily service.

The listed base salary is just one component of our total rewards package, and performance-based or discretionary bonuses may be available.

In a typical day, YOU will:
- Deliver practical training including machine walk arounds, pre-start procedures, daily inspections, feature and benefit description, and correct operating techniques
- Develop training content according to established Caterpillar standards
- Travel regularly to branch locations and customer mine sites
- Deliver orientation training material during product delivery to operators of new machines utilizing various multimedia material
- Toromont trainers are ambassadors of good practices and therefore must behave in an exemplary manner, particularly in terms of Health and Safety
Must-haves for this role:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as an operator in the mining industry is preferred
- Previous experience as an instructor, foreperson, etc is considered an asset
- A variety of machine experience
- High School Diploma
- Written and spoken communication skills in French and English is considered an asset but not mandatory
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, organizational and time management skills
- Results driven and customer centric with proven commitment to deliver internal and external service excellence continuously
- Self-motivated and collaborative team player able to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
- A valid Passport and Driver’s License with current clean Driver's Abstract
