JOURNEYMAN HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC
This position is located at our service workshop in Hamilton, ON, and supports project sites around the GTA.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will maintain, diagnose, and repair our fleet of proprietary and highly specialized equipment, including:
- BAUER rotary drilling rigs
- Hydraulic cranes
- Diaphragm wall clamshells (hydraulic and cable-operated)
- Grout plants, mixers, and high-pressure pumps
- Hydraulic, electrical, and computer-controlled monitoring systems
PAY RANGE
The pay range for this position is $48 - $55 per hour. Wages depend on experience.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on heavy foundation equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults using advanced troubleshooting methods
- Read and interpret hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical schematics
- Support field crews with on-site repairs and technical guidance
- Maintain accurate service records and parts tracking
- Collaborate with operations and project teams to minimize downtime
- Travel to job sites across Ontario as required
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- Qualification as a Licensed Heavy Duty Equipment Technician essential, Red Seal Journeyperson preferred
- Five years related experience working on heavy equipment in shop and field based environments
- Basic Computer skills to access and utilize required computer systems and tools
- Ability to proactively problem-solve and think logically
- Ability to manage time and priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 kgs or 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites
- Must have the mobility to easily access and egress equipment
