About Us

Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future. Utilities around the world rely on our nuclear fuel products to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco’s corporate office is based in Saskatoon. The Role

The Specialist, Corporate Ethics and Privacy play a key support role in implementing and maintaining Cameco’s corporate ethics and privacy programs. This position supports high standards of ethical conduct and robust protection of personal information, contributing to compliance with Canadian and regulatory requirements and Cameco’s Code of Conduct. Working collaboratively with the Corporate Ethics and Privacy team, the Specialist applies sound judgment, strong analytical skills, and practical problem-solving to support program administration, regulatory compliance, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the administration and ongoing operation of Cameco’s corporate ethics and privacy programs.
  • Assist with privacy compliance activities, including requirements under PIPEDA and related Canadian and regulations.
  • Monitor regulatory developments affecting ethics, privacy, and whistleblower programs, and support compliance efforts.
  • Provide incident and investigation support related to privacy and ethics matters, including documentation and follow-up.
  • Prepare analysis, reports, and recommendations related to ethics and privacy issues.
  • Support education, awareness, and training initiatives for employees across the organization.
  • Apply corporate policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements to complex or non-routine scenarios.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within ethics and privacy program operations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and work independently on assigned initiatives under general direction.

Required:

  • bachelor’s degree in business, law, or a related field (technology, policy, risk management, compliance, internal audit, human resources);
  • minimum three to five years of relevant professional experience;
  • well-developed understanding of ethics, privacy, compliance, or related professional fields;
  • general knowledge of Canadian and regulatory environments, including;
  • personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA)
  • corporate codes of conduct and whistleblower frameworks
  • professional certification or specialized training in privacy, ethics, compliance, internal audit, or accounting is considered a strong asset; and
  • familiarity with fraud prevention or investigation frameworks is advantageous.
