Instrumentation Manager – Peace River, Alberta

Role Summary
We are seeking an Instrumentation Manager to serve as the main point of contact for our clients and crews in Peace River, Alberta, ensuring full execution of construction and maintenance projects from conception through completion. This role is responsible for overseeing branch operations, supporting field teams, and driving operational performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership, guidance, technical support, and direction to Instrumentation field staff
• Support the Area Manager in daily branch operations including scheduling, staffing, efficiency, cost control, preventative maintenance, revenue opportunities, and inventory management
• Develop and implement business strategies to improve branch performance and operational processes
• Monitor branch performance against goals and implement corrective actions when required
• Conduct site visits at least twice per month to promote safety leadership and review work practices
• Manage staffing levels, including recruitment, hiring, terminations, and performance management
• Build and maintain strong customer and business relationships
• Foster a strong team culture and uphold high standards when dealing with employees, suppliers, and clients
• Assist with budget preparation and monitor financial performance against targets
• Analyze KPIs, financial statements, and market trends to guide decision-making
• Develop strategies to improve branch profitability and operational effectiveness
• Address employee and customer concerns and develop practical solutions
• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service that exceeds customer expectations
• Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications / Requirements
• Journeyperson Instrument Technician certification (Red Seal or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years in a management or senior supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation industry practices and operations
• Proven leadership ability with strong organizational and decision-making skills
• Experience in budgeting, project management, and operational oversight
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to travel within the region as required
