Summary
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Concrete Curb Machine Operator to join our concrete and civil construction team. The successful candidate will operate slipform/curb machines (primarily Gomaco GT3600 or similar) to install concrete curbs, gutters, and sidewalks according to project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Operate concrete curb and gutter machines (slipform/curb machines)
- Perform daily equipment inspections, setup, calibration, and cleanup
- Work closely with grade setters, laborers, and truck drivers to maintain steady production
- Monitor concrete consistency, alignment, and elevation.
- Make minor mechanical adjustments and report maintenance issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety policies and site-specific regulations
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong understanding of concrete placement, finishing, and curing
- Ability to read grades, stakes, stringlines, and construction drawings
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of performing job duties (standing, lifting, bending)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years experience operating concrete curb or slipform equipment
- Experience with Gomaco, or similar machines
- Supervisory or lead-hand experience
- Experience working on municipal or heavy civil projects
