Our client, a leading organization in chemical packaging and handling, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the operations support team, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of chemical and material products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, safety consciousness, and attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Material Handler (Forklift Operator)
Location: Langley, BC
Pay Range: $25-27/hr
Shift: Mon to Fri, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
What's the Job?
- Receive, unload, and prepare/load liquid and dry chemical products from/to trucks, tankers, and railcars.
- Operate and maintain industrial lift trucks, including forklifts, to transport products within the warehouse.
- Inspect tanks, tankers, and railcars before and after loading/unloading to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of product receipt and shipment, and verify product against documentation.
- Assist with inventory management, packaging, and storage of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Experience working with chemicals and materials handling preferred.
- Ability to operate safety equipment and follow safety protocols diligently.
- Strong attention to detail and physical stamina to perform manual tasks.
