Team Lead Veterinarian, DVM

Western Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Centreis welcoming a full-time Emergency Veterinarian, Team Lead,to join our team. This positionprovidesan opportunity to work with top board-certified specialists and the ability to partake incutting-edgeveterinary medicine.Our goal is to provide a long-term career as an emergency veterinarian, with a sustainable shift-rotation schedule and a stimulating yet manageable caseload.

Western strives to provide our team with a respectful, educational, productive,funand collaborative work environment where the primary goal is to provide world-class veterinary services and patient care. We offer a dynamic team environment, encompassing specialty and emergency services.

Candidates should havepreviousemergency experience, and completion of an internship program is an asset.Experience with scheduling and mentoring would also be an asset.We pride ourselves on exceptional client service and communication skills.Our 24-hour emergency department is led by our team of threeCriticalistsand a Critical Care Resident.Bea part of Calgary’s team of veterinary specialty professionals.

• A valid DVM from an accredited university

• Genuine passion for emergency medicine and special interest in Trauma/Critical Care

• Dedicated to promoting team-based medicine practice

• Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues, petparentsand community

• A passion for coaching and mentoring

Schedule:The emergency team works arotational schedule,includingovernights and weekends. This allows for even distribution of the workload and an overall improved hospital experience. Our specialists alsoparticipatein providing after-hours support to our emergency team.
