The Opportunity

Build the Future with Us

An opportunity to grow your career in environmental assessment and permitting across the Prairies and North. In this role, you'll support multidisciplinary environmental impact assessment (EIA) and regulatory permitting projects throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan, working alongside experienced project managers and technical specialists.

This is an office-focused coordination and report-writing role, with purposeful field involvement on an as-needed basis. It is well suited for an early-career environmental professional looking to deepen their experience in EIA processes, regulatory frameworks, and collaborative project delivery.

Your Impact
  • Support the preparation of provincial and federal environmental assessment documentation, including project descriptions, screening reports, and EIAs.
  • Contribute to effects assessments, mitigation summaries, and regulatory submissions that support responsible project development.
  • Assist with permit and approval applications, helping projects move efficiently through regulatory review.
  • Coordinate technical inputs from multidisciplinary teams (ecology, fisheries, heritage, GIS, and others) to support integrated project delivery.
  • Conduct desktop research and compile background information to support high-quality technical reporting.
  • Track regulatory commitments and support responses to regulator information requests under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Help manage project schedules, deliverables, and internal review processes, keeping projects organized and on track.

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • A degree in Environmental Science, Ecology/Biology, Environmental Studies, Environmental Planning, or a related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in environmental assessment, permitting, or environmental consulting.
  • Hands-on exposure to environmental impact assessment or regulatory processes.
  • Familiarity with Manitoba and/or Saskatchewan regulatory environments is an asset.
  • Strong technical writing skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Professional-level proficiency in English, suitable for client communication and report writing.
  • Ability to follow direction, learn quickly, and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Eligibility for a professional designation such as EP, PAg, or PBiol is an asset.
