We are looking for full-time Universal Financial Associates for our City of Calgary Branches. *Please note: this role is not intended for applicants looking for summer employment.

This permanent position will support an upcoming banking system conversion and will require travel for approximately three months to meet critical business support needs. Upon completion of the conversion, the successful candidate’s designated home branch will be determined. Candidates must demonstrate full flexibility to work at multiple locations across the City of Calgary during the conversion support period. Work schedules will vary by location and will include weekdays (Monday to Friday) as well as Saturdays.

Reporting to Branch Managers, our Universal Financial Associates Mobile Support play an integral role in our branches by supporting our members with all their banking needs. As a Universal Financial Associate Mobile Support, you'll support multiple branches across the City of Calgary and prepare documents for member meetings, provide regular proactive contact and follow-up with members, handle discussions with walk-in members, and a variety of administrative and branch support activities. You'll also help the branch and our members by processing daily banking transactions and recommending products and services to ensure our members feel good about their money.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting all the City of Calgary locations as needed by the business during critical banking system conversion time
• Proactively gather and document all pertinent information required for the Financial Advisor to have a robust conversation.
• Reviewing personal accounts for completeness, accuracy, and ensure they are fully compliant. Look for recommendations to shape the members financial fitness.
• Opening and reviewing new accounts, following up with members as per member service guidelines.
• Preparing and entering loan application information.
• Supporting branch activities to grow new memberships and strengthen our financial relationship with existing members.
• Clearly and skillfully differentiate between credit union and competitor products and services. Present advice and solutions that will serve to improve the member's financial situation
• With accuracy, processing member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan and utility payments, money orders, credit card advances, calculation of foreign and domestic exchange & cheque cashing

The Universal Financial Associate role at Servus provides the foundational experience needed to potentially progress to a Financial Advisor role with proven performance, drive, and motivation!

What you bring:

• At least 1 year of retail banking or sales experience in addition to your high school diploma.
• A keen team player attitude, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, and shifting priorities.
• flexibility to support the business as needed in the City of Calgary.

Although not required, the following education/certificates are valuable assets:

• Post-secondary education in Finance (or related studies)
• IFIC certification
