The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking a team-oriented professional Pediatric Anesthesiologist, to join our dynamic and expanding Department of Anesthesiology in Regina..
The Department of Anesthesiology has a complement of 36 specialist Anesthesiologists and 1 Family Physician-Anesthetist with diverse interests. The successful candidate will join our team to provide comprehensive anesthesiology service to the patients of southern Saskatchewan
.Our services are shared between two sites. The Regina General Hospital is our trauma center representing all major surgical specialties, except transplant. Our Anesthesiologists provide full obstetric service. The Pasqua Hospital is a community hospital and referral center specializing in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, Urology and Pediatric Oncology
.Elective OR runs from 07:45 to 16:00hrs. Our goal for Regina is to routinely operate 18 surgical theatres. Capacity is managed to allow for reduced theatres during holiday periods, allowing physicians and staff greater vacation opportunities. Call is 1:5 to 1:6 depending on holiday requests.
The University of Saskatchewan is a research-intensive institution with 22,000 students and 7,000 faculty and staff, and a strong reputation for innovation and excellence. The College of Medicine has an intake of 100 students per year with a commensurate number of positions for residency training. The has distributed training sites in Saskatoon and Regina.

We are offering an spread over a five-year period, as well as a generous relocation incentive. Further details will be shared during recruitment.
