We are seeking skilled Avionics Technicians at multiple levels to support our aerospace vehicle development. These positions are critical to ensuring the reliability and performance of our avionics systems, contributing directly to the success of our aerospace missions.

Avionics Technician I

Job Summary

The Avionics Technician I is an entry-level position responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, adjusting, and repairing avionics equipment and systems for our aerospace vehicles. This role involves performing basic equipment setup and maintenance activities while learning industry best practices in a hands-on environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair avionics equipment and systems

  • Perform basic equipment setup and maintenance activities

  • Use precision measurement tools and fabricate fixtures, including non-flight parts with standard alloys and simple geometry

  • Learn and perform precision cleaning and chemistry processes

  • Adhere to shop safety requirements and proper use of PPE

  • Learn and apply 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness in daily tasks

  • Follow correct packaging and handling requirements for all hardware

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality workmanship

  • Document and report issues or discrepancies identified during inspections and tests


Minimum Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of related experience (entry-level)

  • Familiarity with general shop practices including PPE and safety requirements

  • General mechanical aptitude and hand tool competency

  • Ability to use precision measurement tools

  • Ability to learn precision cleaning and chemistry processes

  • Willingness to learn 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness protocols

  • Ability to learn proper packaging and handling requirements for hardware


Preferred Qualifications

  • Progress towards formal training or education in avionics, electronics, or related technical field

  • Certification: Airman's certificate, FCC license, or IPC level certification

  • Basic experience with avionics systems (navigation, communication, flight control)

  • Basic ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams

  • Familiarity with testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators)

  • Interest in learning diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques

  • Basic understanding of RF principles in avionics systems

  • Experience with soldering and crimping techniques

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Job Summary

The Avionics Technician II is responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, adjusting, and repairing avionics equipment and systems for our aerospace vehicles. This intermediate-level position requires demonstrated experience and the ability to work with greater independence while maintaining high standards of quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair avionics equipment and systems

  • Perform equipment setup and maintenance activities with minimal supervision

  • Use precision measurement tools to fabricate fixtures, including non-flight parts with standard alloys and simple geometry

  • Perform precision cleaning and chemistry processes independently

  • Consistently adhere to shop safety requirements and proper use of PPE

  • Apply 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness in daily tasks

  • Demonstrate correct packaging and handling requirements for all hardware

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality workmanship

  • Document and report issues or discrepancies found during inspections and tests

  • Provide guidance to less experienced technicians when appropriate

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of related experience in avionics or similar technical field

  • Demonstrated familiarity with shop practices including PPE and safety requirements

  • Proven mechanical aptitude and hand tool competency

  • Proficiency using precision measurement tools

  • Ability to perform precision cleaning and chemistry processes

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair complex avionics equipment and systems

  • Perform advanced equipment setup and maintenance activities with complete independence

  • Use precision measurement tools to fabricate specialized fixtures, including non-flight parts with standard alloys and simple geometry

  • Execute precision cleaning and chemistry processes with expert proficiency

  • Serve as a model for adherence to shop safety requirements and proper use of PPE

  • Demonstrate mastery of 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness protocols in daily operations

  • Ensure correct packaging and handling requirements for all hardware

  • Lead collaborative efforts with team members to ensure high-quality workmanship

  • Thoroughly document and analyze issues or discrepancies found during inspections and tests

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced technicians

  • Contribute to process improvements and technical documentation

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
