Support
As an educator for the Inpatient Surgery, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive and safe environment for both staff and patients. Your effective communication skills will be instrumental in providing clear and constructive feedback to support the ongoing development of staff. In addition to supporting the resource team there will be corporate education and training required of the role to support organizational initiatives.

Qualifications
Current registration with the CNO in good standing. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. Master's degree in nursing with an education focus is required or in progress. Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in Oncology is required. D’Souza Institute certification in oncology and palliative care required. BLS instructor with Heart and Stroke required or commitment to obtain within 3 months of hire. ACLS instructor with Heart and Stroke required or commitment to obtain within 3 months of hire. 48_Proficiency Created with Sketch.
Proficiency
GPA instructor with Heart and Stroke required or commitment to obtain within 3 months of hire. Experience teaching and training adults and employing adult learning principles preferred. BLS instructor with Heart and Stroke preferred. Membership with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO). Initiative
Demonstrated good attendance and performance record with the ability to maintain this same standard. Skills
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate. Expertise in the delivery of formal and informal education / coaching. Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and interprofessional collaborative practice, communication, and organizational skills. Proven abilities in complex analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving. Proven evidence of ongoing professional development. Computer proficiency, preferably in MS office and Meditech EMR.
