What it's like to be a Northbridge Risk Services Specialist Personal Lines

Northbridge Risk Services Specialists, Personal Lines excel at putting the client first, they are able to build rapport quickly and professionally with our high value home owners. Providing best in class risk management and loss control they are able to educate the client and mitigate potential future risks.

Our Specialists are passionate about loss exposure and trends; this means thoroughly identifying hazards and controls for risks through site assessments and customer interviews. Working both autonomously in the field as well as collaborating with Underwriting and Brokers, they develop best practices and are Subject Matter Experts.

  • Critical Thinking and Investigating
  • Building strong relationships and partnerships
  • Demonstrating autonomy, managing field and office work

You have:
  • Post-secondary education and/or industry-specific experience in architecture, interior design, real estate, or construction
  • A minimum of 7 - 10 years' industry experience related to residential appraisals/assessments, claims, restoration or construction
  • Proficient in onsite structure measurements, blueprint site reading & APEX drawing software
  • Sound level of skill and knowledge understanding of risk and insurance management
  • Good understanding of residential loss trends and corresponding mitigation strategies
  • Working knowledge of NFPA standards and fire/building codes
  • Level 1 Infra-red thermography certification is a definite asset
  • Attained or working towards CRM or CIP designation
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Fluently bilingual- speaking and writing skills (English / French) is a definite asset
  • Possession of a valid driver's license in good standing
  • Willingness to travel to Quebec and Atlantic Canada provinces on a regular basis (3-4 times per year)
