With a solid foundation now in place, the organization is shifting its focus toward scaling innovation, accelerating transformation, and embedding cyber security into the core of its digital and business strategies. This evolution is driven by the conviction that security must be both rigorous and enabling – a trusted function that protects the enterprise while supporting speed, agility, and user‑centric design.
To lead this next phase, AIMCo is seeking a Director, Cyber Security who will be responsible for defining and executing the organization’s forward‑looking cyber strategy. Reporting to the Managing Director and leading a growing team of ~5, the Director will lead a portfolio of cyber initiatives that safeguard AIMCo’s operations, reputation, and global workforce. They will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and the Board of Directors, fostering a culture of security awareness, innovation, and resilience.
The ideal candidate is an IT leader with a track record of success leading a modern cyber security program in a dynamic, complex organization, ideally having come up through a technical discipline such as networking, infrastructure, development, or data before transitioning into management. Experience in financial services, insurance, or large enterprise environments is highly valued, as is familiarity with three‑lines‑of‑defence frameworks.
In this high‑profile leadership role, the Director will need to be a strong communicator and compelling presenter, capable of quickly building trust and credibility with the Management team at AIMCo while working collaboratively across all areas of the business. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader with a service‑oriented mindset, capable of fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and ensuring AIMCo’s security posture remains robust in an evolving digital landscape.
