THOAR Mining provides a wide variety of services in the support and operation of mining, ranging from project management, supervision, underground construction, maintenance, and mining equipment operation.
We invite expressions of interest for Millwright (Journeyperson) to apply, we will have a need for highly motivated, safety conscious Millwright with underground potash experience.

Responsibilities:
As a Millwright you will:
- Communicate and cohesively align with other departments in the mine.
- Maintenance, service and repair of underground mechanical systems and equipment, including but not limited to scoops, skid steers, gearboxes, belt lines, hydraulics, and associated equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot breakdowns.
- Maintain and support equipment records and repair history.
- Provide data for cause and failure analysis.
- Take part in planning and scheduling within the work system.
Qualifications:
As a Millwright you will bring:
- Journeyperson Certificate of Qualification from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship & Trade Certification Commission as a Journeyperson Millwright
- Valid GMSA - General Mine Safety Awareness training.
- Valid First Aid/ CPR certificates.
- Valid WHMIS and SCOT.
- Underground work experience is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with underground equipment is considered mandatory.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to adapt to tight deadlines.
- This position requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Safety is our top priority. Candidates must adhere to all safety guidelines and possess relevant certifications, such as CCOHS training.
- Able to carry out and understand verbal and written instructions.
- Able to work shift work (including holidays, weekends, evenings, and overnight shifts).
- This role involves working in various environments so candidates should be comfortable working in diverse conditions.
- Candidates should be prepared to work in all weather conditions. Where appropriate, protective clothing and equipment will be provided.
