We are currently looking for a Senior Controls Engineer that is looking for their next adventure! This is a job that does require a lot of travel between Canada and the USA - if you enjoy meeting new people and creating change, this could be for you!
What's the Job?
- Lead multi-site controls system modernization and equipment automation, migrating from legacy platforms to current technologies such as Rockwell FactoryTalk and Inductive Ignition.
- Collaborate with integrators to specify, design, test, and implement automation and control systems including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, safety systems, and industrial networks.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and validation of automation upgrades, control panel retrofits, and network architecture improvements.
- Develop and maintain process control systems, manage contractors, and provide strategic controls support across multiple plants.
- Interface with corporate IT to ensure automation systems align with infrastructure standards and participate in project planning and scheduling.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology diploma.
- Ability to travel from Canada to the USA
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial automation experience, including control system migration, design, and plant operations support.
- Hands-on commissioning and start-up experience in large-scale projects (greater than $10M).
- Expertise in Rockwell Automation (RSView32, FactoryTalk) and Inductive Ignition platforms.
- Strong knowledge of PLC logic, HMI screens, servo motion control, safety PLC systems, and industrial Ethernet networking.
