Central Victoria Animal Hospital is looking for aVeterinary Assistantto join our Internal Medicine team!This positionincludesa range of responsibilities directly contributing to the efficient and effective daily operation of the department. The ideal candidate will have veterinary and/or administrative experience. A veterinary assistant certificate would be an asset.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist our Internal Medicine specialist and RVTwith various tasks and treatments, including patient handling,endoscopy and other procedures, client communication and scheduling consultations and procedures.

Schedule: This position is full time position consisting of shifts that are 10 hours in length.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments

• Create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents

• Create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients

• General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas and common areas

• Willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
