What You’ll Be Doing

The key function of this role is to expedite the loading process for Fresh Prep’s Delivery department, ensuring that drivers are moving efficiently through the parkade and that their vehicles are loaded quickly. You will be responsible for:

• Confirming racks that have been order picked for drivers include all deliveries on their route.

• Driving a Regular van or Sprinter van.

• Staging the checked rack at a specific stall within the parkade at Fresh Prep,

• Supporting drivers loading - ensuring idle time is kept to a minimum.

• Ensuring only those drivers whose racks are confirmed and staged are entering the parkade.

• Pallet building according to shipping manifests.

• Keeping traffic moving through the parkade quickly, safely, and efficiently.

• Loading and unloading using proper practices.

• Using Fresh Prep’s delivery software and accurately following directions therein.

• Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking.

• Report discrepancies to the immediate supervisor.

• Maintain an organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.

• You can read and interpret Excel spreadsheets and Google Sheets and use email and other computer applications.

• You are confident in communicating clearly with diverse individuals in a fast-paced environment.

• You have an ability to implement new processes or strategies in Logistics.

• You have the ability to talk to technical and non-technical individuals about your work.

• You’re able to be flexible with timing, staying until the job is done - end times may vary depending on a variety of factors.

• Working experience in Driving, Order Picking, or Shipping and Receiving role preferred.

• Able to communicate both verbally and in writing.

• Basic mathematical skills.

• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

• Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.

• Attention to detail in all areas of work.

• Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.

Working Conditions

• Manual dexterity required to use desktop computers and peripherals.

• Overtime as required.

• Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs may be required.

• Work is performed in a combination of environments and temperatures.

• This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes and oils

What You Can Expect

• Schedule of: Thursday (9AM - 1PM), Friday (10AM - 4PM), and Saturday (10AM - 6PM)

• $18.80/hour
