Job Summary

We are hiring a Private Nurse (RN) to provide one-to-one nursing support for clients. This role is focused on private care in home and community settings and is ideal for a nurse who values autonomy, strong clinical judgment, and high-quality client-centred care.

You will work directly with clients and families to deliver safe, professional nursing support tailored to individual needs. Assignments may include ongoing care, short-term support, post-hospital care, and wellness-focused nursing visits.

Responsibilities

• Provide private-duty nursing care in home and community settings
• Complete nursing assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments within scope
• Support care planning and communicate clearly with clients, families, and care teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Provide education and guidance to clients and family members
• Follow professional, privacy, and safety standards at all times

Qualifications

• Current Nursing registration as a Registered Nurse
• Current CPR certification
• Strong assessment and communication skills
• Experience in home care, community care, private duty, medical-surgical, rehab, palliative, or complex care is an asset
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are an asset depending on assignment
• Clear criminal record check
• Ability to work independently and manage visits professionally
