About our Vancouver Office

Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, between the Pacific Ocean and the Coast Mountains, Teck's Corporate Office sits in one of Canada's most culturally diverse cities.

Surrounded by world-renowned nature and globally inspired cuisine, the office brings together many of Teck's corporate functions - all working toward Teck's purpose of providing the essential resources the world relies on.

Role Overview

Supporting the Wellbeing Community of Practice (Wellbeing COP) at Teck, the Employee Wellbeing Coordinator (Part-Time) plays a key role in supporting the organization's global wellbeing strategy by coordinating initiatives, strengthening site-level engagement, and ensuring alignment across programs that promote physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.

This role partners closely with Health & Safety, HR, Communications, and site leaders to drive consistent, meaningful programming that supports a healthy and engaged workforce.

This is a part-time role with an expected schedule of 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
  • Coordinate monthly Wellbeing Committee meetings (book meetings, take minutes, follow up on action items, ensure up to date membership, etc.)
  • Work with sites to understand their employee wellbeing activities for shared learning.
  • Help develop and execute 3-5 employee wellbeing campaigns a year in partnership with the Communications team.
  • Conduct periodic environmental scans of relevant industry and non-industry players for ideas to guide our own activities.
  • Support any integration related opportunities on employee wellbeing.
  • Support deployment of mental health first aid training for corporate sites as needed.
  • Maintain the global wellbeing initiatives calendar and support coordination of events and campaigns.
  • Track engagement metrics and assist with reporting on program outcomes and participation.
  • Draft and coordinate internal communications related to wellbeing initiatives.
  • Support the development of toolkits and resources for site-level wellbeing champions.
  • Assist with logistics for wellbeing workshops, webinars, and events.
  • Collect and share best practices and success stories from sites across the organization.
  • Support employee feedback collection (surveys, focus groups) related to wellbeing initiatives.
  • Support disability management reporting and audit.
  • Occasional travel to site may be required.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in HR, employee engagement, wellness programming, or event coordination preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Health Promotion, Psychology, Communications, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering HR, employee engagement, or wellness initiatives in a large organization and/or across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with SharePoint or intranet content management is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive and able to work independently, demonstrating strong initiative in leading and advancing wellbeing projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to establish relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable balancing multiple priorities and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in employee wellbeing, mental health, and workplace culture.

Pay Range: CAD $68,000 - $84,000 per year

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
