About the role:
The Service Officer III – Claims Support role plays an integral part within the Shared Services group, providing high-quality administrative and clerical support to internal business partners at a national and regional level. This position focuses on Typing speed of – WPM is an asset And Insurance industry knowledge and critical thinking skills are good to have, back-office operations and is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and detail-oriented environment. The role offers strong exposure to enterprise operations with the potential to convert to a full-time opportunity based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate, organized, and efficient administrative support to internal stakeholders
- Research information, sort and distribute mail, and complete various administrative assignments
- Manage multiple incoming enquiries and requests while meeting SLA requirements
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve speed, accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Use MS Office and department-specific systems to prepare documents and track data
- Take ownership of assigned tasks, identify issues, and escalate risks appropriately
- Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing knowledge and supporting peers
Must Have Responsibilities:
- Deliver consistent administrative support in a high-volume, multi-tasked environment
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information
- Adapt quickly to changes in processes, priorities, and workload
- Attend onsite work five days a week without exception
Experience:
- Minimum year of administrative or clerical experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced office or operations environment
Skillsets:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word (ability to navigate spreadsheets is required)
- Basic proficiency in MS Outlook
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Proactive, flexible, and adaptable mindset
Education:
- High School Diploma required
- College Diploma or Undergraduate degree is a plus
