JOB SUMMARY
The Contract Coordinator will be responsible for the review of contractual agreements. They will also be responsible for communicating with branch staff regarding contract terms and documentation requirements, and escalating contract negotiations to the Contract Specialist. In addition, the Contract Coordinator will coordinate the execution and distribution of the builder contractual agreements.

Duties
- Review contractual agreements, and amend when required, to ensure agreements align with Company policies, insurance policy coverage and Provincial legislations
- Ongoing support and training to branches and staff on:Contract Approval and Acceptance PolicyDocumentation requirements
- Communicate any contractual agreement term amendments to branch staff and escalate negotiations to Contract Specialist when required
- Coordinate:Internal agreements when required.With Credit Specialist, to ensure approval has been obtained before executionCertificate of Insurances to align with contract requirementsThe execution of contractual agreements by authorized personnel once approval has been obtained
- Keep up to date on the Provincial Lien and Prompt Payment (where applicable) Legislations in Provinces of operation
- Ensure payment terms in Business Central align with contract
- Ensure sufficient credit available for total contract value
- Support Contract Specialist in coordinating:Review of tender documentation Non-Disclosure AgreementsCommunicating contractual agreement term amendments with contractorsBid bonds, Consent of Surety, Performance and Labour & Material bonds with insurance broker
- Handle customer and internal inquiries

- Strong ability to read and understand contractual language to identify risks, inconsistencies, omissions and compliance requirements
- Strong mathematical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well in a team-based environment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Completion of Principles of Construction Documentation course through Winnipeg Construction Association an asset
- 2 – 3 years’ of relevant experience in contract review an asset
- Experience in the construction industry an asset
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and experience with ERP systems
