Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Perform & support full-cycle accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll input, and reporting
  • Assist with the monthly financial close including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and inventory adjustments
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for management
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation
  • Assist with year-end financial preparation and audits

Billing & Project Accounting

  • Support project setup and job costing within company systems
  • Prepare and submit invoices in accordance with contract requirements
  • Monitor accounts receivable, perform bank deposits and assist with collections
  • Track project costs, quantities, and related documentation
  • Perform pit & quarry inventory entries

Payroll & Financial Administration

  • Process payroll submissions based on approved timecards
  • Support corporate financial reporting requirements

Office Administration

  • Create purchase orders and process invoice documentation
  • Maintain office filing systems and records
  • Provide administrative support to divisional management

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is considered an asset
  • Prior accounting or bookkeeping experience is considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office applications
  • Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards or similar considered an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Compensation

$55,000 - $70,000 per year
