Job description
The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Full-Time Temporary Multi-Grade Teacher at Red Earth Creek School. This position is to commence on August 27, 2026 and will continue until June 29, 2027.Red Earth Creek School is situated in the hamlet of Red Earth Creek, located about 162 kms from Peace River. This school services students in grade K-12 and supports a commitment to academics and various extra-curricular programs. Red Earth Creek school borders Loon Lake First Nations. This a small northern community that provides ease of access to outdoor recreational activities, Qualifications: Previous experience in teaching in a multi grade environment from grades 1-12 Strong classroom management skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting Excellent communication skills with students, staff and parents Ability to contribute to a positive, safe and caring learning environment An understanding of rural community and cultureRequirements: Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate Provide an acceptable current Vulnerable Sector Check (dated within six (6) months of your application.)This teaching position falls under the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers' Association and the Peace River School Division.Annual Salary Range:$ 66,520 to $ 112,451 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers' Association and the Peace River School Division).Benefits:The following benefits are available to teaching staff when they commence a teaching position under contract and are in accordance with the collective agreement between the ATA and the Peace River School Division.
