Responsibilities:
Completes regular preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment according to established schedules and procedures
Troubleshoots, fabricates, repairs and installs mechanical equipment/parts in accordance with established procedures
Participates in training related to this position
Operates in accordance with health, safety and fire prevention regulations and practices
Provide assistance to other Maintenance team members in a unionized environment
Strong work ethic with focus on working safety while completing all tasks
Ability to work shift work, scheduled shutdowns and respond to Emergency Call-ins
Work additional overtime hours as required
Additional duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
Red Seal Certificate of Industrial Mechanic/Millwright (433A) or 2nd/3rd year apprentices
Ability to read and work from blue prints
Ability to organize and plan work order assignments
Basic computer skills with ability to learn in-house system
Must be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs. without assistance
Demonstrate organizational skills and personal initiative
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
Excellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skills
Strong work ethic and a proven safety record
Ability to work in conditions such as confined spaces, heights, dust, and temperature extremes
