Position Details
The Career Bridge Centre for Work-integrated Learning and Career Development is currently seeking a full-time (Term) WIL Instructor. The start date for the position is May 4th, 2026 – December 24th, 2026.
Combining curricular WIL programs, career services, and the My Experience Transcript platform, Career Bridge is a multifaceted team of experts and service providers working together to support WIL, EL, and Career Development across campus. Applicants should hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (a master’s degree is preferred) in addition to prior experience in Co-operative Education or Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) pedagogy. Demonstrated experience as a WIL practitioner and/or WIL scholarship and teaching are preferred.
Applicants must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Public speaking, teaching, and presentation skills; a demonstrated passion for work-integrated learning; proven ability to solve problems and work effectively within shifting deadlines and priorities. Some travel is required.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Assistant Dean and in collaboration with the Career Bridge units, including the career services team, the My Experience Transcript (MET) advisor, as well as internal and external stakeholder groups.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Teaching WIL Pedagogy
- Deliver courses in the Applied Studies program: the Co-op Admission Course (CAC), Work Term Preparation course, and individual Co-op work term courses
- Dedicated to authentic learning and assessment, innovative teaching practices, and continuous quality improvement.
- Evaluate student work and assign grades in WIL programs
- Advise students and develop partnerships, maintaining a high level of professionalism and sensitivity to the needs of all partners
