At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Could you be the full-time Site Supply Chain Director in Thunder Bay, ON we’re looking for?

This job posting represents an existing vacancy.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your strategic and operational expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in defining, planning, and executing the full suite of supply chain processes for our Thunder Bay site, including industrial planning, materials planning, and logistics operations. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (, regional supply chain, site management, and project committees), lead the implementation of supply chain strategies, and ensure operational excellence across all processes.

You’ll specifically take care of managing the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Master Production Schedule (MPS) processes, but also support projects in achieving Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) commitments.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Adapting and deploying supply chain strategies in alignment with regional and local goals
  • Implementing and managing standards, processes, methods, and tools for supply chain operations
  • Identifying site-specific needs and contributing to the development of transversal processes and tools
  • Building and deploying a targeted organizational structure and people development roadmap
  • Ensuring compliance with Alstom Health, Safety, and Environmental policies
  • Preparing and managing budgets while identifying opportunities for improvement and synergy
  • Driving performance through KPI management and process reviews
  • Providing support to stabilize or mobilize supply chain operations in emerging sites or new business areas

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

• A university degree
• 10–15 years of experience in an industrial environment
• 5–10 years of experience managing large teams (unionized and non-unionized)
• 10 years of experience in supply chain management
• ERP management experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A proven ability to drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of excellence

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career.

You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with innovative tools and systems for supply chain management

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and supportive colleagues

  • Contribute to impactful projects that shape the future of sustainable mobility

  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning programs

  • Progress towards senior leadership roles with global exposure

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $134,560 – $176,610 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
