Personal Support Workers (PSWs) – Dementia Respite Care Program
We are excited to share that our new Dementia Respite Care Program at the CIBPA location is now officially open following its recent ribbon cutting! As we continue to grow this important community service, we are looking to fill a few Personal Support Worker (PSW) positions to support our clients and their caregivers.
This program provides temporary respite for family caregivers while ensuring their loved ones receive compassionate, individualized support in a safe and welcoming environment. If you are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults and their families, we would love to hear from you.
Position Overview:
As a Personal Support Worker in the Dementia Respite Care Program, you will provide compassionate, one-on-one care to individuals with physical and/or cognitive challenges, assisting with daily activities, personal care, and ensuring their comfort and safety during their stay. You will work closely with our team to support clients and their families, giving caregivers peace of mind while they take a well-deserved break.
Part-time PSW positions available located in Maple
8-hour shifts, alternate weekends
Requirements:
- PSW Certificate
- 1-2 years experience as PSW
- Standard First Aid certificate
- Food Handler certificate
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence & access to a vehicle
- Cognitive dementia experience
- Medication management an asset
- Strong English communication skills
Candidates must be physically able to climb stairs repeatedly during shift to support client needs.
Other:
- Fluency in both official languages (English & French) or other language(s), an asset.
