RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position summary
Department / Research Program: Alan Edwards Pain Management Unit
We are looking for a motivated candidate to work as a Research Associate. They will need to be able to work alone, under the direction of the immediate supervisor.
General Duties
• Conducting research projects ;
• Administrative management (budgets, meetings, minutes, grants) ;
• Development of research methods and protocols ;
• Resolution of research and design issues ;
• Analysis of results and drafting of reports and manuscripts ;
• Collaboration (local, national, and international) ;
• Participation in the day-to-day management of projects ;
• Other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Education: Doctorate Degree
Field of Study: Healthcare or related field
Work Experience: Two (2) to five (5) years
Required Skills
• This position requires an advanced knowledge of oral and written French.
• An advanced knowledge of oral and written English is required, as the position requires regular and complex contact with patients who are exclusively proficient in English. The position also requires complex writing or in-depth analysis of documents in English related to a research project.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision;
• Attention to detail;
• Strong analytical and logical skills;
• Problem-solving and evaluation skills;
