Repair machines and perform a variety of service oriented functions
Troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment.
Perform a wide variety of equipment repair diagnostics
Complete technical documentation (service reports warranty crossover notes)
Interact with customers sales support and the rest of the Finning team
Work with the Service Supervisor on various tasks as required
Qualifications:
Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic/ Electrician
OR Willing to work towards Electrician Red Seal Certification.
Successfully meet Finnings educational and testing prerequisites. This includes:
Completion of grade 12 (not including a general equivalent diploma)
Meet the requirements of article 5.02 of the Alberta Collective Agreement
Highly motivated and mechanically inclined
Strong assets will include:
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Previous Caterpillar experience and basic computer skill
Note:
Shift work may be required
Any future shift changes will be made in accordance with the collective agreement
A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
