Our dynamic team is growing, and we are searching for the right individual to join our Spence Studio Team in Vancouver, BC, as a Jewelry Production Assistant. The focus of this role will be lost wax casting and grinding. This is a long term, rewarding career opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Cast 10k, 14k, 18k, 19k, and platinum using lost wax casting method
- Clean investment from cast-out jewelry
- Manage raw metal inventory levels
- Grind cast-out jewelry components using disk-grinding method
- Pre-polish jewelry components
- Inspect job orders before and after processing to ensure quality standards are achieved
- Maintain a safe work environment and report any safety issues to the Studio Manager
- Other duties as instructed by the Studio Manager
Qualifications:
- Experience with lost wax casting is an asset but not necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience polishing, grinding, or shaping jewelry or other small objects
- Highly organized, detail oriented and efficient with time
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
- Ability to multitask and set priorities
- Team oriented
