Please proceed using the link: https://app.traits.com/survey/a56e7669-2ba6-4573-83cd-800831da5362 POSITION OVERVIEW: Startec Corporate Services is currently recruiting for an Industrial B2B - Intermediate Sales & Marketing Specialist to work at our Shepard Office (9423 Shepard Road SE , Calgary, AB, T2C 4R6).

  • T his role requires a multidisciplinary professional who combines a strong UX/CX design-system orientation, technical communication, data literacy and experience working within a complex industrial sales environment.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, technical teams, leadership, and external agencies to produce and refine a wide variety of customer-facing content across all media and relevant platforms.

This role supports the promotion, pre-sale and account development aspects of Startec’s engineering solutions, refrigeration systems, and service offerings.

This role will involve organizing and enriching marketing assets, including contact data, to improve operational efficiency. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI): CONTENT PRODUCTION (Weighting 40%) Design and maintain marketing collateral using a combination of Microsoft and Adobe software, including: Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro), and Figma.

Producing office, print, and digital assets to support sales presentations, proposals, onboarding materials, and account development.

Maintaining and improving corporate templates, including credentials, proposal layouts, and presentation materials.

Supporting marketing materials related to engineering solutions, refrigeration systems, and service offerings.

SALES SUPPORT (Weighting 15%) Translate technical engineering and refrigeration input into clear, accurate marketing communications.

Edit and maintain high-quality written materials with strong attention to detail.

Support structured communications appropriate for engineering, procurement, and executive audiences.

Assist with proposal support, technical marketing documents, and corporate communications.

TECHNOLOGY, EVENTS & COLLABORATION (Weighting 15%) Support planning and execution of industry trade shows, conferences, and marketing events.

Coordinate booth assets, marketing materials, and promotional support.

Work within a Microsoft 365 environment including Teams and SharePoint.

Maintain structured document libraries and marketing assets.

Support CRM and marketing automation workflows for client communications.

Act as a coordination bridge between internal teams, agencies, and production workflows.

DIGITAL MARKETING (Weighting 15%) Manage WordPress website.

SEO and GEO best practices.

Monitor and optimize online advertising and search marketing, lead generation campaigns.

Maintain digital presences Support social media activities DATA OPERATIONS & SALES INTELLIGENCE (Weighting 15%) Clean, organize, and maintain structured customer and prospect data within CRM and marketing systems.

Consolidate customer lists, prospect databases, trade show contacts, and market data into structured, usable formats.

Build segmented prospect lists and account intelligence to support targeted sales outreach and account development.

Apply AI-assisted tools and enrichment processes to improve data quality, classification, and usability.

Support development of structured datasets for marketing campaigns, lead generation initiatives, and sales targeting.

When content creation demand is low, prioritize data cleanup, enrichment, and list development activities.

  • QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years in marketing production roles within a professional services environment.

Strong communication, technical execution, and organizational discipline.

Ability to work closely with engineers, technical teams, leadership, internal staff, and external agencies to produce office, print and digital assets.

Experience working within an engineering or professional services environment.

Degree in Marketing (B.Com), Design and New Media or equivalent professional experience.

Strong design capability with experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro).

Experience managing a WordPress website.

Understanding of SEO and GEO best practices Experience managing Google Ads and tracking performance with Google Analytics and Tag Manager.
