We are proud of our work and commitment to create one of the leading workforce, products and services in the Aviation industry.About the Role:The Quality Control Manager – Avionics is responsible for leading the Quality Control function and ensuring the highest standards of aviation safety, regulatory compliance, and product quality. This key leadership role is ideal for an experienced AME-E professional who is passionate about operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and developing high-performing quality teams.Reporting The Quality Control Manager reports directly to the Director of Quality.Core CompetenciesStrong leadership and team development skills.High attention to detail.Technical accuracy and sound judgement.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsmitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. Key Performance Indicators / Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor and develop the Quality Control team, including SCA (Shop Certification Authority) and MCA (Manufacturing Certification Authority) personnel.Ensure compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), Transport Canada requirements and company quality procedures.Oversee in-process inspections, receiving inspections, final inspections, independent inspections, buy-backs and functional testing.Review and approve maintenance releases, technical records and traceability documentation.Provide quality oversight and technical support for aircraft maintenance, avionics modifications, manufacturing, and component repair activitiesLead internal quality audits and prepare for Transport Canada, customer and OEM audits.Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives.Develop and deliver technical and certification training for ACA, SCA and MCA personnel.Champion Safety Management System (SMS) principles and foster a proactive culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.Collaborate with Production, Engineering and customers to resolve technical and quality issues.
