Warehouse Supervisor

Reporting to the VP of Operations Distribution the Warehouse Supervisor coordinates the day-to-day receiving storage order picking shipping and inventory operations. They will ensure compliance with health and safety standards quality service times and optimisation of resources (labour equipment space). The position requires field leadership proactive priority management and a strong capacity for operational analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Enforce health & safety rules conduct safety meetings perform workplace observations incident investigations and corrective action plans.
• Ensure that all occupational health and safety requirements are met and record relevant information in the EHS system.
• Plan organize and supervise receiving storage picking packing shipping and inventory activities.
• Assist with a broad range of warehouse tasks. Allocate labour by area/activity based on volumes.
• Ensure compliance with service deadlines inventory accuracy productivity.
• Check the conformity of goods (quantity quality damage).
• Optimize flows (layout locations order grouping).
• Onboard and train new employees in conjunction with Human Resources.
• Perform inventory receipts in ERP system.
• Perform monthly cycle counts as well as annual physical inventory.
• Coordinate transportation of shipments and dock schedule.
• Foster a respectful and collaborative work environment.
• Collaborate with Transportation Customer Service and Purchasing to quickly resolve exceptions (delays emergencies shortages).
• Ensure exemplary housekeeping practices.
• Perform all other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in warehouse or distribution environment.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Sage X3 P21)
• All required certifications (WHMIS TDG; Forklift license First Aid)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong reporting skills while meeting deadlines.
