Job Description

• Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
• Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
• Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to co-ordinate access and use of computer networks.
• Provide problem-solving services to network users.
• Implement data, software and hardware security procedures.
• Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records.
• Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade Web-server hardware and software.
• Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet.
• Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance.
• Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations.
• Supervise technical staff.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for all types of technical inquiries, service requests, and issues involving computers, networks, smartphones / tablets, enterprise applications / systems.
• Contribute to team innovation through ideas for process improvement and efficiency.
• Develop, implement, and / or participate in the preparation knowledge base articles and / or documentation for Service Desk use; make recommendations for improvements.
• Document all problems and solutions in the Service Desk Ticketing System.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
• Complete company’s trainings and certifications as required.
• Work with vendors to complete service requests.
• Work with UTM / Firewalls : Fortinet and Sophos.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform network / systems improvements.
• Create architecture and solution designs with the latest technologies in the areas of : Advanced Networking, SaaS, IaaS (Azure), VMware, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Storage and Backup.
• Perform Quality Assurance on Pre-Sales team architecture.

Salary

$35.46 hourly, 37.5 hours per week.

Important Information

Flexibility in schedule is required. Work schedule will be from Monday to Friday from 9 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM. This includes 30 minutes of unpaid lunchtime.
