This Position reports to:
Local Division Controller - ELDSIn this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.
The Quotation & Order Management Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate customer quotations, processing orders efficiently, and ensuring a seamless flow of information between sales, operations, and customers. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

This role is contributing to the growth of our grid component business in Canada.
Your Role: Own the Challenge
You will be mainly accountable for:
Quotation Management
Prepare, review, and issue customer quotations in a timely and accurate manner.
Interpret customer requirements, specifications, pricing structures, and contractual terms.
Collaborate with sales, engineering, or product teams to validate pricing, lead times, and technical details.
Track quotation status and follow up with customers as needed.
Maintain updated quotation templates, price lists, and documentation.
Order Processing & Administration
Enter and manage customer purchase orders in the ERP/CRM system with accuracy.
Verify completeness of order details, including pricing, quantities, delivery schedules, and terms.
Coordinate with production, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure on‑time fulfillment.
Monitor order progress, proactively resolve issues or delays, and communicate updates to customers.
Issue order confirmations, shipping documents, and invoices when required.
Customer Service & Communication
Serve as a primary point of contact for quotation and order‑related questions.
Provide timely responses and solutions to customers, internal stakeholders, and sales teams.
Handle changes, cancellations, returns, or special requests professionally.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent, high‑quality service.
Data & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of quotations, orders, customer interactions, and pricing.
Prepare weekly or monthly reports on quotation success rate, order status, backlog, and KPIs.
Identify process improvements to reduce errors and increase efficiency.

What it takes to run what runs the world
Currently studying Engineering (Electrical preferred; Mechanical or Industrial also considered).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Interest in technical products, components, or electrical systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook; familiarity with SAP is an asset (training provided).
Organized, proactive, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.OPTIONAL:
Experience in quotation, order management, customer service, or sales support.
Knowledge of electrical components.
Solid communication skills in English and French. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
