We are seeking a process planner to support our Optical Cementing Department and join our Manufacturing Engineering Team at Raytheon ELCAN. In this role, you will play a key part in developing, optimizing and maintaining department processes and work instructions. You will collaborate closely with co-workers in addition to Operations department team members to trouble shoot and navigate through various production and customer challenges. Continuous improvement and cost reductions will also be requested regularly during day to day activities. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with skilled professionals, leverage advanced technologies, and contribute to the success of Raytheon ELCAN.

What You Will Do:

• Support our Optical Cementing Department
• Develop, optimize and maintain department processes and work instructions
• Provide accurate estimates for new and recurring work through our Cementing Department
• Collaborate with a cross functional team including Operations, Engineering & Program Management

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor Degree in Materials Science or equivalent
• Strong technical ability to interpret drawings and work instructions
• Proven ability to solve technical problems and make sound decisions
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize as needed
• Highly motivated with a demonstrated positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge/understanding through study, instruction or experience

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Certification of Optical Apprenticeship
• Understanding of optical metrology: Interferometry, Collimators and Visual Microscopes
• 5 years’ experience working with precision optics

Raytheon ELCAN is located in Midland Ontario, a community known for its technological advancements. Midland offers a perfect blend of urban amenities and natural beauty nestled on the shores of Georgian Bay, making it an ideal place to work, grow, and belong.

The salary range for this role is 54,000 CAD - 93,150 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
