Job description

At NAV CANADA, we are experts in navigating Canada’s skies. Helping pilots safely cross 18 million square kilometres of Canadian and North Atlantic airspace is what we do. Operating out of air traffic control towers, Air Traffic Controllers (Airport/Aerodrome Controllers) provide pilots clearances and instructions to maintain separation from other aircraft during takeoff and landing. Their job is to maintain a safe and orderly flow of air traffic within a defined airspace surrounding the airport, referred to as a “control zone”, as well as on the ground on runways and taxiways.

We’re making NAV CANADA a place where everyone truly belongs, where everyone thrives and where everyone is heard. To do that, we want to work with as many different types of people as possible.

If you’d love to shape the future of air navigation, we are currently seeking three (3) Airport/Aerodrome Air Traffic Controllers to work within the Vancouver Tower located at 3511 Grant McConnachie Way, Richmond, BC V7B 1K3. This is a full time, permanent opportunity.

Job Description

Why Vancouver? Because your career deserves a backdrop this extraordinary. Professional acceleration meets lifestyle perfection. Vancouver Tower isn't just another posting—it's where your expertise shapes one of North America's most complex airspace environments. You'll manage traffic from 40+ airlines connecting six continents, handling everything from float planes to wide-body internationals.

Life beyond the tower: Finish your shift and be on the slopes of Grouse Mountain. Kayak English Bay before your evening shift. Walk through Canada Place—where cruise ships dock and seaplanes land. Vancouver isn't just scenic; it's functional beauty that enhances your daily routine.

Why this matters now: Vancouver's aviation sector is exploding—new international routes, expanded cargo operations, sustainable aviation initiatives. Ground floor opportunities like this don't come often. Plus, you're joining an elite team.
